James O'Brien reacts to the death of conservative influencer and Trump ally, Charlie Kirk, who was shot dead on a university campus in Utah.
The father-of-two, 31, was responding to a question from an audience member about mass shootings when a shot rang out. A single bullet then hit him in the throat.
He was pronounced dead in hospital around an hour later after being taken away by car.
James O'Brien says he feels 'completely ignorant' for not having realised how popular Charlie Kirk was within conservative circles.
Responding to the conservative activist's death, Donald Trump has vowed to crackdown on political violence.
O'Brien, however, expresses surprise at the speed with which many are drawing sweeping conclusions about the motive behind the killing, noting that it remains unclear whether the attack was politically motivated.
